Pisco is a pure brandy that requires about 6-7 kg of grapes for 1 liter of Pisco. Pisco is divided into Peruvian and Chilean Pisco based on its origin. The main differences between these two varieties are the grape varieties used (see Pisco - Drink). In addition, the alcohol content of Peruvian Pisco is constant at about 43% by volume, Chilean Pisco, on the other hand, is divided into different quality levels with different alcohol contents: Pisco Especial (35% by volume), Pisco Reservado (38-40% by volume) and Gran Pisco (43% by volume or more).
