Potato brandy is an alcoholic liquid (brandy) produced by distillation, which is obtained from the potato.

Potato brandy, because its production and raw material were inexpensive, was long considered a "poor man's liquor", but today it is more and more offered as a kind of exclusive alcoholic beverage on the drink menus of more sophisticated restaurants.

The Polish and Ukrainian version of potato brandy is called vodka. In Russia, Scandinavia and other countries, vodka and aquavit are made from potatoes or grain, depending on the country and distillery.
