This world-famous cherry liqueur was first produced in 1818 by the Peter F. Heering company in Copenhagen. The Cherry Heering owes its subtle sweetness and tart fruit aroma to the dark red Heering-Stevens cherries, the abundantly added and fermented cherry stones, the elaborate maceration and the storage time of more than three years in oak barrels. Its alcohol content is 25 percent by volume.
