Product: Melonenlikör, Midori Melon

Midori melon liqueur is a fruity-aromatic liqueur with melon flavour, produced by the Japanese beverage manufacturer Suntory.

It is produced outside Japan only in Mexico and has been available in Central Europe for several years now. Its predecessor, a liqueur called Hermes, was initially only moderately successful, but this changed when Suntory adapted its taste to taste preferences in the USA and finally introduced its successor Midori in 1978 at the legendary New York club Studio 54.

Midori is one of the fruit flavoured liqueurs and has an alcohol content of 20 % vol. Typical is its strikingly strong green colour, from which the name midori for 'green' is derived.
