Ingredient: Orgeat Syrup
Speichern
Orgeat syrup (also known simply as orgeat) is a sweet syrup with an almond flavour that is often used in cocktails - particularly popular in Mai Tai. The syrup tastes similar to marzipan and is milky and cloudy.
The name comes from the French "orgeat", originally derived from "orge" (barley), as barley water was also used in the past. Today it is almost exclusively an almond syrup.
