Preparation


  1. Put a few ice cubes in a glass.
  2. Add lime juice and sugar syrup.
  3. Add Kala Namak (or other spices - according to taste).
  4. Top up with soda and stir.
  5. Garnish with a slice of lime.

A Nimbu Soda is a refreshing drink made from lime juice and soda (or mineral water). "Nimbu" means "lime" in Hindi and "soda" means "soda" in English. It is a very popular drink in India and is often served as a thirst quencher on hot days or as an accompaniment to spicy food. To make a Nimbu Soda, you squeeze the juice from fresh limes and pour it into a glass with ice. Then, fill the glass with soda or mineral water and stir it. Depending on your taste, you can also add sugar, salt or other spices (like Kala Namak in this case).
